We are looking for Payroll Process Specialist to support the Syensqo Belgian Payroll and Benefits Team by delivering accurate and timely payroll and benefits services for Belgium.

 

Job Overview

Based in Belgium, you will join a team of 8 colleagues located in Brussels and Portugal. As Payroll & Benefits Specialist, you will be responsible for providing precise and timely administrative and payroll services related to Payroll, Pension, and Benefits for Belgium (the Netherlands and Luxembourg are out of scope for this role).

 

We’ll count on you to:

Reporting to the Payroll Manager for BeNeLux, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing accurate and timely payroll services in collaboration with the Payroll team as well as the external payroll provider. For more clarity, Syensqo does not work with a social office in Belgium;
  • Managing and administering various types of benefits and specific monthly or yearly payroll processes.
  • Processing confidential data.
  • Managing employee information and databases (via SuccessFactors, HRX and SAP)
  • Administering salaries and follow-up (including closing, monitoring monthly salaries, bonuses, allowances, etc.), as well as time registration.
  • Supporting audit preparation and risk management (internal or external): managing deadlines, providing required information, and ensuring prompt follow-up.
  • Handling certificates and other relevant documents.
  • Ensuring business continuity and driving continuous improvements
  • Reviewing salary payslips by performing data and gross amounts checks
  • Responding to employee inquiries related to salaries and benefits via the ticketing system.

 

 

You will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Law, Accounting, …or similar.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an HR or Payroll position
  • In-depth knowledge of Belgian payroll and legislation is mandatory
  • Knowledge in payroll process and systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google tools, with advanced skills in spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets);
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP HR.
  • Attention to detail to maintain the highest operational standards
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and time management skills;
  • Proactive and autonomous working style with a strong customer service orientation;
  • Well organized, stress resilient, able to meet deadlines and collaborative

 

Must-have skills

  • Fluency in French, Dutch, and English is required

 

 

You will get:

  • The Belgian annual base salary reasonably expected to be paid for this new hire is € 51120 to €69200.  Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, qualification and internal equity and can ultimately be more or less than the posted salary range.
