We are looking for: 

The Technology & Sustainability Integration Lead is responsible for identifying, assessing, and fostering implementation of “Best Available Technologies” (BAT) to drive our Syensqo site's sustainability transformation and ensure our company remains at the forefront of sustainable innovation, supporting our growth ambitions. 

This role will focus on the adoption of advanced technologies into our operations, aligning with our Syensqo One Planet objectives (on energy, water, emissions, and waste) and leveraging the framework of the Star Factory program. 

Specifically, an intense focus on effectively managing and mitigating the risks associated with substances of concern (SOCs) is a key expectation. This leader will drive a coordinated and strategic approach to reducing emissions of substances of very high concern and will integrate the SOCs emissions reduction roadmaps, pollution risk mappings, and global activities related to air and water pollution into a cohesive component as part of Syensqo’s evolving environmental stewardship strategy in the One Planet program. This role works hand in hand with the Head of Environmental Stewardship and Energy at the Group level to ensure alignment of actions and longer-term sustainability strategy.

• Drive potential and leverage existing strategic partnerships with technology providers or industry consortia to accelerate the adoption of breakthrough innovations for our industrial assets.

Substances of Concern (SOCs) focus 

• Lead the establishment and continuous refinement of priority substances, ensuring abatement targets are aligned with the latest scientific insights and regulatory trends.
• Lead the consolidation and strategic integration of project pipelines (aligned with Star Factory roadmaps) aimed at de-risking (go beyond regulatory compliance) and reducing SoC emissions to air and water.
• Offer technical/scientific  SoC expertise during growth project assessments / Sustainability VCP process, ensuring strategic impacts are thoroughly evaluated and mitigated.
• Direct the consolidation of emissions data in accordance with Group policies and CSRD requirements, proactively identifying and addressing alignment gaps.

You will bring: 

• 10 years of minimum technological, chemical, and regulatory expertise;
• Ideally, exposure to the chemical or petrochemical manufacturing environment;
• Fluent in English; French, and/or Italian would be nice to have;
• Transformation leader, passionate about process, technology, and innovation, championing creative solutions;
• Entrepreneurial mindset, can-do attitude, driven by purpose to lead for longer-term impact.
