- Screening & Due Diligence: Conduct screening of customers, suppliers, and transactions against restricted and denied party lists, embargoed countries, and other regulatory requirements.
- Internal Audits & Assessments: Conduct regular internal audits, risk assessments, and gap analyses to ensure ongoing compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Incident Management: Investigate and report potential export control violations or incidents, and coordinate corrective actions and voluntary disclosures as necessary.
- Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and complete records of all trade compliance activities, including licenses, filings, and correspondence with authorities.
- Regulatory Monitoring: Monitor changes in global trade and export control regulations, assess their impact on company operations, and update internal policies and procedures accordingly.
- Interface with Authorities: Serve as the primary point of contact with government agencies and regulatory bodies on trade compliance matters.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Program Management:
- Collaboration: Work closely with Compliance, Supply Chain, Legal, Procurement, Digital Technology, Business Units, and other functions to ensure compliance across all operations and advance program objectives.
- Policy Development: Develop, implement, and update internal trade compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Training & Awareness: Provide training and guidance to employees and stakeholders on trade compliance requirements, export control regulations, and best practices.
- Project Management: Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and deliverables for compliance initiatives. Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.
- Process Improvement: Establish procedures and monitoring tools to ensure ongoing appropriate classification and management of technologies.
