We are looking for:
As a Global Reliability Engineer, your primary focus is to build, implement, and continuously improve Mechanical Integrity programs for one or several manufacturing sites, with emphasis on early defect detection and defect elimination across piping systems, rotating equipment, and fixed vessels. You will ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements (including TSSA/CSA B51) and translate inspection and reliability data into risk-based repair scopes and improvement actions. Success in this role is demonstrated through improved asset reliability and performance (OEE), robust shutdown execution, and sustained reduction of equipment failures through structured reliability and continuous improvement practices.
We can count on you to:

Develop, implement, and manage the site Mechanical Integrity program for piping systems and related accessories (piping, valves, expansion joints, insulation joints, PSVs, hoses, steam traps, rupture discs, etc.).

Develop, implement, and manage the mechanical integrity program for static equipment (pressure vessels, storage tanks, heat exchangers, boilers, etc.), including inspection planning, report review, and repair scope definition.

Lead and fulfill TSSA / CSA B51 requirements, including compliance for pressure piping repairs.

Review and take action on technical documentation including welding procedures, NDT reports, and piping specifications.

Support the Maintenance team with repair planning for critical equipment failures.

Actively participate in the site OEE program, including maintaining and improving the equipment Bad Actors list.

Conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA) for major equipment failures and manage closure of improvement actions.

Perform equipment criticality analysis and ensure adequate spare parts strategies for critical assets.

Interpret reliability data and define failure mitigation / reliability improvement plans.

Engage in and/or manage capital projects to ensure proper equipment selection, installation quality, and long-term reliability.

Support shutdown planning and execution by ensuring critical reliability tasks are planned and completed during shutdowns.

You will bring:
Education / Certification
-
Mechanical Engineer.
-
P.Eng designation preferred or actively pursuing.
Experience
-
4+ years of chemical plant experience (or similar industrial environment).
Technical Skills
-
Experience with relevant mechanical integrity standards, including API 570 and other applicable static equipment / tank standards referenced in the role requirements.

Experience with CSA B51 and TSSA requirements.

Experience with CMMS (preferably SAP PM) and reliability information systems.

Ability to manage and direct capital projects.

Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
-
Knowledge of financial resources, tools, and reports used to support reliability and maintenance decision-making.

Travel Requirement

Up to 25% travel, including travel to the United States.

You will get:

The Canadian annual base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this new hire is $105,000 to $131,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications. Total compensation may also include bonus and/or other incentives.
