Regional Sales Director - China / Mining   中国销售总监,采矿化学品

 

We are looking for:

  • Regional Sales Director for the Mining market in China, located in China and who reports operationally to the Global Business Director of Mining Solutions. 

  • He/She is in charge of managing the sales to Mining customers in China, and to grow the Mining business in China with existing and new customers.  He/She will also help coordinate and facilitate account plan strategy and execution, as needed, for Chinese-owned mines outside of China.   

  • He/She manages a team of Account Managers in China, and collaborates closely with Sales and Business Development teams outside of China.  

  • He/She establishes and fosters connections with senior level managers at customers to build strong partnerships and accelerate our growth.

  • Ensure the financial results are in line with the budget, 

  • Build the mid-term growth plan and value creation plan for the China/Mining market

  • Key contributor to building new product introduction strategies, and implement the strategy in the region

  • Develop and maintain the perspective on market share, and manage development opportunities for the region and market

  • Identify strategic partners in China to drive further growth

 

EXCELLENCE

  • Manage the opportunity pipeline for China/Mining through CRM tools (ex: Salesforce) and review regularly with his/her team

  • Maintain a strong focus on forecast accuracy in his/her team, to allow optimization of working capital and security of supply

  • Ensure that Key Account Plans for the regions are up to date and implemented

  • Support cash collection and slow-moving inventory management activities to meet EBITDA targets

  • Provide strong leadership, vision and coaching to his/her direct reports aligned with Syensqo key behaviors.  

  • Regularly provide updates to our GBU Leadership Team on the business and key growth programs

  • Ensure customer remains at the heart of all internal processes

  • Ensure we retain a strong customer satisfaction from customers (Net Promoter Score)

You will bring:

  • Bachelor`s or Master's Degree, preferably in Chemistry/Materials/Mining or Business/Marketing

  • MBA or marketing ­related graduate degree a plus

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a sales manager managing a team of account managers and/or business developers and with good knowledge of sales practices and processes

  • Established network in the Mining industry

  • Has a good knowledge of mining, preferentially Mineral Processing Flotation process and/or MEP Solvent Extraction process 

  • Proven track record in driving business growth 

  • Understands the “China for China” business dynamics

  • Ability to establish and foster connections with mid to high level management positions at customers to build strong partnerships

  • Speaks English and Mandarin Chinese fluently, with past experience in a Global company

  • Ability to travel regionally and internationally up to 60% of the time
