Job title : Process Engineer / Process Technology – Tavaux
We are looking for:
Join the Process Technology team at the Tavaux site to contribute to the development and sustaining of the site’s production capacity, with a constant priority: people safety, environmental protection, and asset integrity. At the heart of operations, you will work at the interface of Production, Process Safety, HSE, R&I, and Project teams on a wide range of topics, some with significant industrial impact.

Depending on your experience and site needs, you will contribute across several areas:
Technical support to production
- Provide day-to-day process expertise to improve stability, performance, and quality.
- Analyze deviations and issues, lead investigations (root cause analysis), and drive action plans.
- Propose and implement improvements (operating conditions, operating procedures, standardization, lessons learned).
Process support to HSE and Process Safety teams
- Contribute to HSE and Process Safety activities (risk assessments, safety reviews, recommendations).
- Support risk control and ensure consistency/updating of process data and safety-related process documentation.
Support to R&I teams
- Support the industrial deployment of new products/processes and the improvement of existing processes.
- Participate in trials, industrialization activities, and the capture of lessons learned.
Capital investment projects
- Act as Process Engineer / Process Leader on capital projects: definition of needs, mass and energy balances, technical choices, P&IDs, specifications, etc.
- Depending on profile, take on the role of Project Leader: multi-discipline coordination, schedule/budget management, start-up preparation and commissioning
You will bring:
Candidate profile
- Engineering degree or Master’s level (Chemical Engineering / Process Engineering / Industrial Chemistry or equivalent).
- Strong field mindset, rigor, strong safety culture, analytical skills and ability to prioritize.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and in teams (Production, HSE/Process Safety, R&I, Projects).
- Prior professional experience in process design and development is an advantage.
Skills
- Strong, naturally embedded safety culture, with constant attention to risk prevention.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task
- Expertise in process simulations and calculations on unit operations to prepare technical documentation, including heat and material balances, P&ID, equipment and instrument specifications
- Strong attention to details
- Understand key operational metrics and communicate across organization to achieve clear alignment and focus.
- Understanding processes to engage cross-functional teams to solve quality and process capability problems.
- Good communication and presentation skills (oral and written) General comfort level with IT applications
- Fluent English, written and spoken
- Knowledge of radical polymerization and fluorine organic chemistry is a plus
You will get:
- The annual base salary reasonably expected to be paid for this hire is between € 45000 to € 55000. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, qualification and internal equity and can ultimately be more or less than the posted salary range.
