We are looking for:

An R&I Technology Innovation Leader to drive technology advancements in our assets and processes for Tavaux site in France. You will lead innovation to enhance operational excellence, ensuring compliance with HSE and ISO standards. Your role is key to growing our RP R&I impact in reliability and efficiency.

We count on you to:

Coordination and Project Management

  • Supporting RP activities and New Process Development projects in compliance with HSE and ISO standards

  • Serve as the CAPEX reference and coordinate tangible investment needs for RP

  • Act as HSE Coordinator for all actions requested by the pilot teams

  • Drive the innovation process to transform and digitalize the management of tangible assets

  • Project Manager for specific R&I projects focused on process improvement or new process development

Pilot Plant Design and Operation

  • Design pilot plants based on research project needs: define assumptions, design schemes, equipment/instrument specifications, and material balances

  • Manage the start-up of pilot plant assets

  • Assist researchers during pilot trials with specialized activities (tests, calculations, etc.) on request

  • Fine-tune processes during pilot start-up in collaboration with researchers

Process Improvement and Performance

  • Support and monitor process improvements: prioritize pilot plant effectiveness, advise on resource allocation and necessary investments

  • Analyze pilot plant performance, identify bottlenecks, and suggest corrective actions to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)

Technical and Safety Support

  • Provide technical support to HSE for compiling files required for official authorizations of existing and new installations

  • Support Pilot Plant and HSE in LOP (Limits of Operation) and MOC (Management of Change) processes

  • Develop and design safety tests and safety design criteria for high-risk processes

Project Delivery and Collaboration

  • Participate in or support R&I projects/activities, ensuring objectives are met and deadlines respected

  • Contribute to patent filings and internal scientific reports

  • Collaborate closely with internal (R&I, Industrial, PAM, RAPS) and external partners to ensure coordination and regular updates on milestones and technical challenges

Strategic Planning and Optimization

  • Build the R&I RP Operations roadmap, identifying impactful projects and aligning milestones, objectives, and timelines with business goals

  • Assess the competitiveness of different processes for new product production and recommend the best option

  • Audit current environment (processes and tools) to identify improvement opportunities and standardize workflows

  • Enhance pilot teams’ digital capabilities, positioning the site as a pioneer in digitalization by supporting future solution implementation

You will bring:

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering

  • 5+ years’ experience in R&I functions (pilot plant experience is a plus)

  • 5+ years’ experience in industrial functions (process engineering is a plus)

  • Fluent in both French and English, Italian would be a plus

  • Proven experience participating in complex projects

  • Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and creativity

  • Leadership and autonomy with excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to influence and lead cross-functional technical developments

  • Willingness to travel occasionally (approximately 2 days/month) to our site in Bollate, Italy, to support process development activities and coordination with local teams.
