Syensqo is all about chemistry. We’re not just referring to chemical reactions here, but also to the magic that occurs when the brightest minds get to work together. This is where our true strength lies. In you. In your future colleagues and in all your differences. And of course, in your ideas to improve lives while preserving our planet’s beauty for the generations to come.

We are looking for:

An IT Finance Controller, you will play a key supporting role within the IT Finance organization, reporting to the Corporate Controlling team. You will partner closely with IT and Corporate Controlling teams to help drive financial performance, transparency, and value realization across the technology portfolio.

This role bridges financial management, project governance, and strategic planning for IT operations and digital transformation initiatives - including financial oversight of AI program investments.

Success in this role will be measured by your ability to provide accurate and timely financial insights, strengthen financial discipline, and collaborate effectively across IT, Finance, and Business teams.

We count on you for:

  • Support IT Leadership: Partner with IT Finance leadership to deliver financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities for the global IT function.
  • AI Program Finance Support: Assist in financial management for the AI and digital transformation programs - tracking project costs, supporting value measurement, and contributing to ROI governance.
  • Performance Management: Prepare and analyze IT financial performance across OpEx and CapEx, identifying cost drivers, efficiency opportunities, and value realization metrics.
  • Financial Planning & Forecasting: Support the execution of planning cycles (budget, forecast, long-range plan) for IT, ensuring alignment with corporate FP&A standards and overall business strategy.
  • Insightful Reporting & Storytelling: Develop clear financial analyses, dashboards, and presentations that communicate insights effectively to IT and corporate stakeholders.
  • Process & Systems Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in IT financial processes, tools, and reporting systems.
  • Governance & Compliance: Support adherence to internal controls, accounting standards, and investment governance processes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with project management, procurement, and technology leads to maintain holistic visibility of IT investments and outcomes.
  • Finance Transformation Participation: Support finance transformation and digitalization initiatives within IT Finance, contributing to modernization of tools, data flows, and reporting models.

You will bring:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA) preferred.
  • 3–6 years of experience in FP&A, Controlling, or Business Partnering roles, ideally within IT, Digital, or Technology-intensive environments.
  • Exposure to project portfolio management, including capitalized software and innovation programs, preferred.
  • Strong financial modeling and variance analysis capabilities.
  • Proficiency with financial systems such as SAP, Anaplan, Power BI, or similar analytics tools.
  • Good understanding of IT cost structures (OpEx/CapEx, run vs. build) and project accounting principles.
  • Experience supporting business case development and value tracking for technology investments.
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Clear communicator able to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Proactive, reliable, and organized, with a collaborative working style.
  • Comfortable operating in a matrixed, global environment.
  • Eager to learn, take ownership of deliverables, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

You will get:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • 16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations
  • Training platform for all employees
  • Free well-being sessions (physical and psychological)
