About the job
We are seeking a Cyber Governance & Engagement Lead to support the CISO Office by ensuring that cyber governance forums, committees, and engagement models operate effectively and consistently across a global organization. This role is not a traditional GRC, audit, or controls-focused position. Instead, it is an operating-model and facilitation role focused on governance execution, accountability, and communication.
The primary missions of this role is to organize, standardize, and oversee cyber governance committees and ensure they follow best practices for agendas, decision-making, minutes, action tracking, and ownership. To establish and facilitate a broad global Cyber Champion Network that enables two-way communication between the CISO Office, the business, functions, and site leaders, with the intended goal of changing cybersecurity culture and behaviors across the organization. And to establish an IT focused network to exchange on security strategy, best practices, enable security based decision making, and act as a forum to drive improved cybersecurity culture and maturity in IT.
This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy building structure, improving how organizations operate, and enabling effective decision making rather than performing hands on risk assessments, audits, or control testing.
Key Responsibilities:
Governance Committees
- Monitor and evaluate the operational effectiveness of cyber governance committees and forums on a regular basis.
- Implernent and enforce defined standards for agendas, meeting minutes, decision documentation, and action tracking within all governance bodies.
- Provide coaching, and guidance to committee facilitators to promote consistent and effective governance practices.
- Track governance actions, assign owners, and monitor outcomes to ensure accountability and timely follow-through.
- Identify gaps or inefficiencies in governance operations and propose actionable improvements.
Cyber Networks
- Establish and facilitate a global Cyber Champion Networks across business units, functions, sites.
- Establish a sub-team of site IT persons to be empowered to make decisions based on defined rules / criteria.
- Support Champions and proxiek in effectively communicating cybersecurity topics within their respective regions, business units, and functions.
- Create and maintain channels for two-way communication between the CISO Office and the organization regarding cyber strategy, governance, compliance, and best practices.
- Collect and synthesize feedback from Cyber Champions to inform CISO Office priorities and identify support needs.
- Assist with broader cyber governance activities, including policy review, policy lifecycle management, and alignment with governance frameworks.
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare regular reports and dashboards on governance committee activities and Champions Network engagement.
- Ensure clear and consistent communication between the CISO Office, governance committees, and the Champions Network.
Continuous Improvement and Awareness
- Identify opportunities to enhance governarice processes and communication strategies.
- Stay current with industry best practices in cyber governance and awareness.
Education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in governance operations, Project Management, IT governance, transformation, or similar roles.
- Demonstrated experience organizing and running governance forums, steering committees, or councils.
- Experience operating in a global, matrixed organization.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or similar (conceptual understanding required; deep technical expertise not required).
Skills and behavioral competencies
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence and drive accountability without formal authority.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Clear communicator who can translate cyber topics into business-relevant language.
- Comfortable working with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
Language skills
Fluent in English
Other language is a plus particularly French (not mandatory)
