GCC - SAP BASIS Specialist

The Junior SAP Basis Consultant will be part of our super talented SAP BASIS team in Pune, India, responsible for handling BAU activities and managing our diverse SAP landscape.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of technical expertise administering SAP systems hosted in AWS or Azure, and have experience managing SAP on Linux as well as exposure to SAP HANA and SAP ASE (Sybase). Hands-on experience with SAP BTP or SAP Datasphere will be considered as a plus but not necessary.

Work Location : Koregaon Park, Pune Work model: Hybrid working (3 days / week in office) Work hours: work in shifts on rotational basis

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle BAU SAP Basis activities, like system copies (SAP Refreshes), system monitoring (availability, performance and capacity), troubleshooting, configurations, patchings, etc.

• System performance monitoring

• Troubleshoot and resolve L1/L2 technical incidents affecting our SAP systems or Satellite Apps, having the ability to navigate through different applications, databases and operating systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support SAP projects.

• Perform system health checks, follow audit-related controls, generate reports for capacity planning, and performance analysis.

• Apply support packages, kernel upgrades, DB patches and security patches.

Education and experience* 

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (IT) or equivalent. 

Skills and behavioral competencies*

• Relevant SAP, Cloud and OS/DB courses, workshops, certifications are a plus, but not mandatory

• Aware of the latest SAP technologies, tools, and best practices

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work individually and collaborate with a team.
