The SAP FI Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting our finance processes through the strategic use of technology. This individual is responsible for overseeing and optimizing Syensqo’s SAP FI applications and modules, like SAP FI GL, FI-AA, RE-FX, and month-end closing process in SAP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improve SAP FI-GL, FI-AA, RE-FX and SAP closing process to ensure business continuity and system integrity.

  • Provide day-to-day support ensuring timely and effective resolution of incidents, service requests, or evolutive maintenance for all the finance topics and to all regions. Primarily work schedule will be CET

  • Follow up and monitoring of automatic finance processes with special attention to interfaces and closing activities being able to identify, resolve or escalate anomalies

  • Work closely with other IT finance experts to analyze business and functional requirements; propose solutions for finance processes and translate business needs into system requirements; identify opportunities for process improvements within the SAP FI landscape.

  • Participate as a project member or Project Manager in SAP FI projects, including system upgrades, enhancements, and integrations.

  • Ensure data integrity and system security; adhere to Syensqo IT policies and standards, with a focus on Cybersecurity compliance and exhaustive documentation.

  • Be available on-call on a rotating schedule to handle major issues outside of working hours Mon to Fri

 

Education and experience*(edit)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT finance roles.

  • 5-years demonstrable experience supporting SAP FI-GL and FI-AA is essential. Knowledge of SAP RE-FX and SAP FCC is a plus.

  • Familiarity with SAP ECC/S4 finance modules is also beneficial.

  • Results-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working both independently and as part of a team, in fast-paced environments.
