Job Overview (Mission of the Role): 

We are seeking a dynamic communications professional to join Syensqo’s global Media, Content & Reputation team.
Based in Bollate, Italy, you will play a key role in reinforcing Syensqo’s corporate reputation, supporting global media initiatives, and implementing the company’s communication strategy in Italy.

You will work closely with colleagues across Group Communications and external partners to craft compelling stories, engage with media, and help position Syensqo as a leading, purpose-driven science company.

This role is part of Syensqo’s Media, content and reputation team of 5 people reporting to the Head of media, content and reputation based in Brussels, but integrating a pool of communications colleagues in Italy

Responsibilities include:

Global Media & Content Support

  • Contribute to enhancing Syensqo’s corporate reputation and maximizing positive media coverage globally.

  • Support daily media relations activities and content creation to ensure clear, consistent, and impactful corporate storytelling.

  • Coordinate the global press release distribution process — verifying, scheduling, and targeting releases to the right audiences.

  • Prepare media events and interviews, including crafting high-quality briefing notes for Syensqo spokespeople.

  • Manage and coordinate the crisis communication process, ensuring timely and effective response.

Italian Market Communications

  • Organize and execute creative media initiatives and local communication plans, working with an external PR agency.

  • Working closely with the Italian Country manager and spokesperson as well as the leadership team of Syensqo’s main facility in Alessandria

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and other stakeholders in Italy.

  • Manage press releases for the Italian market, including drafting, translating, and distributing materials.

  • Leverage local business and innovation stories to generate positive media attention and strengthen Syensqo’s reputation in Italy.

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Conduct proactive press, online, and social media monitoring to identify opportunities and reputation risks.

  • Prepare regular media coverage reports and daily press reviews, both globally and for the Italian market.

  • Maintain accurate records of media contacts, messaging materials, and communication assets.

Messaging & Collaboration

  • Craft clear and powerful messages in collaboration with the Media Relations team and key internal stakeholders.

  • Support the coordination and execution of communication projects that align with Syensqo’s global narrative and brand voice.

  • Contribute to improving Syensqo’s overall reputation risk preparedness and resilience.



Essential Skills (Education, Experience, Technical Skills, Desired Behaviors): 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.

  • Proven experience working within a global communications team or agency environment.

  • Solid understanding of the media landscape, content creation, and media engagement practices.

  • Languages: Excellent command of English and Italian (spoken and written).

  • Skills:

    • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset.

    • Ability to work collaboratively in an international environment.

    • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Additional Information

Location: Bollate, Italy
Working Model: 

  • Hybrid (2–3 days in office, rest remote)

  • Possible travel to Alessandria where our main italian production site is located
