ADL Technician

We are looking for:  

• One experienced lab research technician to support technical jobs in the FKM business in Fuji Laboratory with the key responsibilities of planning and executing activities in various research and development projects in support of mixing, roll compounding, molding, and testing requests from Engineers in ADL and CTD. 

We count on you for:  

• Executes complex experiments and testing of various formulations requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions.

• Performs complex or non-standard set-up and troubleshooting of Laboratory or Fabrication equipment.

• Collects data, makes complex calculations, keeps neat/accurate records, correlates data, and can make basic interpretation of the data.  Enters data into relevant systems and closes requests in a timely manner.

• Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments.

• Communicates results to a supervisor, engineers or peers to internal customers, both orally and in written report form, and communicates results orally within and outside of group.  

• Independently performs technical problem solving on specific equipment and processes.

• Performs all work activities in a safe and timely manner. Participates in safety audits and safety meetings, closes open audit action items in a timely manner.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

You will bring:  

• High School Diploma or College degree in a scientific/technical field, Chemistry or Mechanics preferred

• Approximately 1+ years of FKM or other relevant technical experience.

• Mixing, roll compounding, molding, and/or testing experience.

• General plastics experience (esp. polymer processing) preferred.

• Nice to have good English communication skill, both in written and oral. 

• Demonstrated expertise in specific laboratory and/or fabrication operations; excellent mechanical aptitude.

• Demonstrated ability to perform complex experiments.

• Ability to work/communicate with diverse teams/styles; excellent interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work and prioritize independently with minimal supervision; excellent organizational skills.

• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
