Job overview and responsibilities

Syensqo initiated a fundamental transformation and this transformation positioned digital technologies as key drivers to make it happen. It requires us to change the way we operate and leverage the tremendous amount of knowhow, knowledge, structured and unstructured datasets that today exist in the Group.

Syensqo has decided to create a startup team, Syensqo.ai, dedicated to the AI and Generative AI domain. By taking this role, the Responsible AI & Business Analyst  will join this team right at its inception. Its mantra is simple: deliver value, with speed and agility while taking no compromise on compliance, ethics, guardrails or regulations. As part of the Syensqo.ai team, The Responsible AI & Business Analyst will play a crucial role in helping the business understand, adopt, and apply Responsible AI practices. Acting as a bridge between business users and expert functions (Legal, Compliance, DPO, Cybersecurity, IT, IP/Copyright), the role will translate rules into practical guidance, track actions, and make Responsible AI simple, actionable, and valuable.

 

The position reports to the Change Manager. S/he will be responsible for :

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adoption & Change: Lead awareness campaigns, trainings, and workshops to drive adoption of Responsible AI. Make Responsible AI simple, practical, and relevant for business users.
  • Governance & Compliance: Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, DPO, Cybersecurity, IT, and IP/Copyright experts to embed Responsible AI in projects. Follow up on AI Act actions and ensure responsibilities are executed.
  • Training & Guidance: Roll out policies, terms of use, and playbooks. Create role-based trainings, guides, and best practices to strengthen understanding and accountability.
  • Business Analysis: Gather business needs, track adoption metrics, and turn insights into clear recommendations to improve AI tools, user experience, and value creation.
  • Culture & Engagement: Act as a connector between business and expert teams, fostering autonomy, flexibility, and strong energy to make things move. Build momentum for Responsible AI across the Group.

 

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Management, Communication, Digital Transformation, or a related field.
  • Solid experience in business analysis, change management, or transformation projects.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, Legal, Compliance, Cybersecurity, HR).
  • Familiarity with AI concepts, Responsible AI principles, or regulatory frameworks (e.g., EU AI Act, GDPR) is a strong plus, but not mandatory.
  • Experience in creating policies, training content, or adoption programs is an advantage.

 

Skills and behavioral competencies

  • Strong business analysis skills: able to gather needs, analyze data, and translate findings into clear actions.
  • Excellent change management skills: able to design adoption plans, engage stakeholders, and drive behavioral change.
  • Clear and effective communication and facilitation skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to explain complex topics simply.
  • Collaboration and influence: experienced in working across functions (Legal, Compliance, IT, Cybersecurity, HR) and aligning diverse stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving mindset: pragmatic, solution-oriented, and focused on delivering value.
  • Autonomy and flexibility to adapt to change and manage priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong energy and willingness to make things move, creating momentum for adoption.
  • Good understanding of Responsible AI principles and digital ethics (or strong willingness to learn).

 

Language skills

  • Fluent in English. good level in French is a plus
