Management Accounting Intern (Finance)

We are looking for: 

A Finance Intern (Management Accounting – MAC) who will support the team in monthly costing activities, inventory valuation tasks, and asset accounting processes. The internship objective is to contribute to accurate reporting and well-documented finance processes, while developing practical skills in a controlled and supervised environment.

We count on you for: 

• Support accurate costing processes, including basic checks of transactional CO postings, assisting with cost cycles, and supporting settlement activities for WBS and internal orders.          
• Assist with updating and maintaining relevant master data (e.g., cost centers, cost cycles, WBS, and material finance views), following team validation.             
• Support inventory valuation activities by collecting data, performing consistency checks, and preparing documentation for monthly reporting.      
• Assist in preparing inputs for monthly reporting and analysis (e.g., P&L and Margin in Inventories) and updating relevant sections in the consolidation tool (BFC), where applicable.   
• Support external audit requests by preparing documentation and helping address questions, with guidance from the team.
• Assist in performing internal controls (checklists, evidence collection, basic reconciliations) to support compliance with company policies and procedures.  
• Interact with key stakeholders (e.g., site controllers, general accountants, Country Accounting Managers) for information gathering and alignment, as requested by the manager.

You will bring:           

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics.  
• Good knowledge of Excel (recommended).          
• SAP BW is a plus.     
• Fluent in English.      
• AI tools - ability to use AI tools to support day-to-day tasks
• Resilient and open-minded.            
• Collaborative team player.
• Good communication skills.           
• Proactive and eager to learn.           

You will get:

• The Portuguese annual base salary reasonably expected to be paid for this new hire is: €11,280.00 for applicants who have completed or are completing a Bachelor's degree and €12,480.00 for applicants who have completed or are completing a Master's degree.
