What we are looking for:

Syensqo Anaheim manufactures prepregs (fibers combined with resin) on multiple reinforcements as well as resin systems for infusion, resin transfer molding systems, adhesives and potting compounds for the Composites Industry.  Our products are supplied to many markets including aerospace, defense, and advanced air mobility. 

 

We’re currently looking for a Technician to join our R&I Process Innovation team.  This is a key role in the development of our new products as well as evaluation of new manufacturing  process technologies. This role will be based at our Anaheim site in the R&I department. 

 

As part of your responsibilities we count on you for:

  • Supporting pilot mixing operations, including: performing safety assessments, reviewing mixing procedures, operating pilot mixing equipment to ensure that blends of raw materials are produced to the correct quality, quantity and timescale, performing characterization of novel resins, compiling trial reports to document observations and recommendations, communicate results to key stake holders

  • Supporting pilot coating operations, including: performing safety assessments, reviewing filming instructions, operating a pilot roll coater, performing characterization relevant to coating processes, compiling trial reports to document observations and recommendations, communicate results to key stake holders

  • Supporting pilot tape line operation, including: performing safety assessments, reviewing manufacturing instructions, operating a pilot tape line, performing in-process material characterization, compiling trial reports to document observations and recommendations, communicate results to key stake holders

  • Supporting the development and operation of novel and experimental processes under supervision of scientists/engineers to explore the potential of new manufacturing technologies.

  • Being a dynamic, proactive team member who brings innovation ideas forward

  • Working in a safe manner in adherence with company policies and maintaining the standards required in housekeeping on the shop floor.

  • Performing additional tasks and supporting other R&I and Engineering departments as required.

  • Participating in any company initiatives as required.

  • Ability to work flexible hours when required.  The primary shift schedule will be 7AM - 3:30PM on site.

 

 

You will bring these essential skills and behaviors:

  • A strong commitment to all aspects of safety

  • Attention to detail and be able to understand and follow written recipes and procedures 

  • Must be able to accurately and concisely record experimental results and do basic math calculations

  • Three (3) or more years of experience working in an industrial setting

  • Flexibility in working hours

  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude

  • Able to work alone, or as part of a team

  • Good communication skills.

  • Problem solving ability

  • Must be a US Citizen and fluent in English

  • Computer literacy including the use of Google® and Microsoft® applications

  • High School degree or equivalent

 

Preferred Experience 

    • Working in a roll-to-roll, coating or laminating manufacturing environment

    • Working in a composite material manufacturing environment

    • Perform basic SAP functions and transactions

 

You will receive:

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $50,000 to $70,000. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
