We are looking for:

Provides support of plant safety and environmental obligations under regulatory agencies and Syensqo guidelines. May serve as backup to Safety Specialist/Emergency Response Coordinator (ERC) and a member of the Emergency Management Plan Task Group. Actively involved in the site safety plan.

  • Assist with compliance of all Group and Site HSE policies, procedures, and standards.

  • Deploy the Group HSE policies, programs, and tools.

  • Review and propose site-specific adaptations and improvements to Group HSE programs and tools.

  • Assist in compliance of all HSE regulations and legislation.

  • Ensure all site activities respect applicable HSE regulations.

  • Organize and conduct HSE audits and inspections, and identify improvement areas and recommended preventative or corrective measures.

  • Provide HSE expertise, information, advice, and support.

  • Train or support training of employees and subcontractors in HSE matters. 

  • Provide information regarding changes in HSE legislation.

  • Participate in the MOC process: review and tracking.

  • Mentors and coaches employees and contractors in the field involved in production and construction expansion projects 

  • Perform and evaluate risk assessment of project and tasks in the field assuring accountability in the field.

  • Support the development of the safety culture 

  • Ensure the exchange of best practices and relevant experiences.

  • Ensure continuous improvement of Site HSE performance.

  • Assist HSE Manager in developing the site specific HSE objectives, programs, procedures, and tools, and ensure their deployment and effectiveness. 

  • Develop and deploy site HSE risk management plans and site emergency plans. 

  • Develop, deploy, and monitor HSE involvement, awareness, and education programs for employees and contractors.

  • Coordinates/schedules/performs periodic inspections and maintenance of the systems according to established schedules.

  • Provides support to plant Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Environmental functions as needed.

You will bring:

  • College degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, IH, safety or a related technical discipline. Certifications preferred but not required.

  • Two or more years of experience in a chemical manufacturing facility.

  • Experience with Industrial construction, production and maintenance a plus

  • HSE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Perform required safety audits per the Augusta Plant Yearly audit plan.

  • Attend plant wide quarterly and monthly safety/wellness sessions

  • Review area what-if scenarios at least 1/qtr

  • Review area JSA’s at least 1/mo.

  • Complete all required CBT’s by the end of each year.

  •  
  • Participate in PHA’s, PSSR/Field Reviews and Follow-Up Incident investigations as needed.

  •       Competitive salary and benefits package

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $78,800 to $98,500 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.

  • 16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations.
