We are looking for:
An experienced Lab technician To perform an extensive variety of laboratory procedures utilizing physical, wet-chemical, and instrumental techniques. Specifically, this includes the following: for our Augusta, GA facility
We count on you for:

Analyze/Ship routine and non-routine (special request) samples, using approved methods, under minimal supervision.

Record raw data and final results into logbooks, or computer (when applicable) and provide sample submitter with accurate data within an acceptable time frame.

Maintain laboratory and associated equipment in a safe and clean condition.
-
Must be able to follow SOPs and work instructions, along with scheduling and testing requirements
-
Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment and perform simple maintenance.

Insure reliability of test results through the analysis of Standards/References and Statistical Process Control.

Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
HSE REQUIREMENTS:
-
Perform required safety audits per the Augusta Plant yearly audit plan.
-
Attend plant-wide safety/wellness sessions.
-
Review/perform required safety audits, JSA’s and What-if scenarios.
-
Complete all required CBTs (trainings) on time.
-
Participate in PSM, PHA, and PSSR field reviews, as well as Follow-Up Incident investigations as needed.

Maintain a working knowledge of all plant environmental standards.
-
Know the environmental permit limits for your assigned plant (air, waste water, storm water).
-
Maintain a working knowledge of the Hazardous Waste Rules (RCRA) to include storage, handling, sampling, transporting, manifesting, record keeping, and emergency response.

Maintain a working knowledge of the facility environmental plans (SPCC, Storm Water Pollution Prevention).

You will bring:

High School diploma or GED equivalent
-
AA degree in Chemistry preferred
-
1+ years of QC lab experience required.

Knowledge of modern lab instrumentation and Statistical Process Control.

Must meet minimum assessment levels as defined in the Work Keys position description.

Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel are essential.
-
Candidate required to work a rotating day/night 12-hour shift schedule.

Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
-
Demonstrated commitment to safety.
-
Must be willing and able to work overtime.
-
Must be willing to be flexible to changing work priorities and tasks.

High level of mechanical aptitude.

The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $29.82 to $33.86 per hour. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
