We are looking for:
Syensqo is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team of exceptional professionals and explorers, working with all levels of the organization at the Baltimore, MD location. This role is ideal for an HR professional that thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, is passionate about building strong teams, and is focused on employee engagement and organizational success. This person will need to have a solid work history and union experience.

Partner with managers and employees to foster a positive, productive, inclusive and compliant workplace culture.

Manage Labor Relations on a day-to-day basis, i.e. contract administration and handling grievances/arbitrations

Support company programs and initiatives

Assist site administrative assistant with payroll processing, accrual updates, and troubleshooting

Deliver day-to-day support in performance management as well the annual review process, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary action.

Work with Managers on recruitment efforts: identifying staffing needs, drafting job descriptions (as needed) , assisting Managers with screening candidates, conducting interviews, and onboarding new hires.

Serve as a trusted resource for employee relations; conduct thorough and objective investigations, and guide conflict resolution.

Perform benefits-related administration, including sick leave monitoring, and communicating benefits information to employees.

Support employee development by coordinating and monitoring training programs.

Drive engagement and retention by organizing site-wide programs, communication meetings, and special events.

Maintain HRIS records, digital and paper files, and process personnel transactions across all systems.

Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations

Champion safety by collaborating with HSE team and supporting workplace injury events and investigations

Provide mentorship and guidance to our team members

Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law, regulations, and compliance requirements. Union experience is a plus.

Day to day labor relations experience preferred - contract interpretation and administration, grievances and arbitrations, working with union reps and committees

HRIS experience preferred; SuccessFactors and Kronos/UKG
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

The job will be on-site at our Baltimore manufacturing location with occasional travel. An office will be provided.

Setting will be office or manufacturing setting. This role will be required to make occasional to frequent visits to different manufacturing safety sensitive works areas.

You will bring:

Bachelor’s degree required, Human Resources degree preferred
-
Minimum of 3-5+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment (generalist or coordinator level).

The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $90,000 to $105,000 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
