We are looking for:

The Lead Off Craftsman is responsible for a variety of maintenance and craft activities throughout the Borger, TX site.

 

We count on you for:

  • Inspecting and removing inspection plates, channel heads, and heat exchanger bundles.
  • Installing tubing on piping and equipment for heat tracing.
  • Reading and interpreting piping and structural drawings for installation and demolition; familiarity with piping and structural standards is required.
  • Using manual, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools (e.g., jackhammers, cheaters, spanners, pin and pipe wrenches).
  • Changing process filters.
  • Operating motorized equipment such as lifting devices, JLGs, forklifts, and drotts.
  • Removing valves from process equipment.
  • Digging ditches and trenches using picks, hoes, and shovels.
  • Operating manual equipment such as chain hoists.
  • Insulating equipment and piping, including preparing and installing new insulation.
  • Performing painting and carpentry work.
  • Removing old concrete and laying new concrete.

You will bring:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends
  • Previous work experience in a chemical or refinery production facility preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Basic computer skills

 

You will get:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • The U.S. hourly rate reasonably expected to be paid for this new hire is: $39.06 per hour.  Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate, such as skills, experience, qualifications, etc. and can ultimately be more or less than the posted salary range.

Additional information:

 

Work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm. Some OT will be mandatory.

 

Physical and Safety Requirements:

    • Ability to climb, bend, lift, and perform a wide range of physical activities.
    • Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
    • Ability to listen to and follow instructions.
    • Strict adherence to all plant safety guidelines and policies, including the use of fire-retardant clothing and personal protective equipment (PPE, SCBA) when working with chemicals, hydrocarbons, and process additives.
