We are looking for: 

The Technical Services Manager leads and manages all maintenance and project functions at the Borgert, TX site. They ensure the efficient utilization of departmental resources to continually improve equipment reliability, implement cost reduction measures, optimize project execution, and enforce compliance with HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental) standards.  They are an agent of change instilling discipline, efficiency, and accountability to the maintenance workforce in the overall execution of day-to-day activities. Reports to the Site Manager and is a member of the site leadership team.

  • Oversee facility reliability to support safe and environmentally responsible production.

  • Fully participate in site HSE initiatives including periodic audits.

  • Participate in regulatory and internal audits as needed.

  • Lead and develop Engineering (Reliability, Project, and DCS) team and Maintenance Supervision.

  • Ensure team accountability for the development and execution of maintenance and project work plans.

  • Ensure appropriate systems are in place for root cause identification and corrective action implementation to support a continuous reliability improvement culture.

  • Ensure appropriate systems are in place for predictive and preventive maintenance.

  • Manage departmental costs.

  • Manage the site capital expenditure budget.

  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators for maintenance and project functions.

  • Represent Syensqo through daily actions that reinforce the corporate values demonstrating personal commitment to a safe, healthy and environmentally sound workplace for employees.

 

You will bring: 

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or similar engineering; or equivalent technical degree. 

  • 5-10 years experience working in an industrial facility, preferably in a chemical process production plant with 3+ years of supervisory experience in maintenance, or process and/or project engineering.

  • Unionized workforce management experience is a plus

  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills to manage, motivate, and develop personnel and to facilitate cooperation between departments.

  • Must be able to interact positively and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

  • Must have a high degree of initiative, influence, and problem-solving capability.

 You will get:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $150,000 to $175,000 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
