The Site Laboratory & Analytical Services Manager is a senior site leadership position responsible for the strategic direction, resource planning, and overall performance of laboratory and analytical services. This role ensures the laboratory function—including the quality control lab, in-process testing lab, and Analytical Lab—aligns with site and corporate objectives, regulatory requirements, and customer needs. The manager provides leadership and guidance to the Lab Manager, Lab Quality Engineer, Analytical Chemists, and in-process lab teams, focusing on continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.

Strategic Leadership & Vision

Develop and execute the long-term vision and strategy for laboratory and analytical services, including the in-process testing lab, in alignment with site and corporate goals.

Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for all laboratory operations, driving continuous improvement and innovation.

Ensure laboratory and analytical capabilities evolve to meet future business, regulatory, and technological needs.
Oversight & Governance

Provide leadership and direction to the Lab Manager, Quality Engineer, Analytical Chemists, and in-process lab teams, ensuring effective delegation of daily operational and technical responsibilities.

Oversee resource planning, budgeting, and investment in laboratory infrastructure, technology, Laboratory Information Management System, and talent, including analytical instrumentation and in-process testing capabilities.

Ensure laboratory and in-process testing lab compliance with all relevant quality, safety, customer specifications and regulatory standards through effective governance and oversight.

Coordinates with the Global Laboratory Lead to adopt and advance Global Quality initiatives.

Maintain oversight of calibration, verification, and maintenance programs for analytical equipment, ensuring alignment with QMS and business priorities.
Cross-functional Collaboration

Act as the primary interface between laboratory services (including analytical and in-process testing) and site leadership, manufacturing, R&D, quality assurance, external stakeholders, and customers.

Collaborate with the Quality Manager to ensure analytical and in-process testing services support compliance, customer, and business requirements.

Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice adoption across laboratory, analytical, and in-process testing teams and other site functions.
Talent Development & Culture

Champion a culture of safety, quality, and continuous professional development within the laboratory, analytical, and in-process testing functions.

Mentor and develop laboratory leadership talent, including the Lab Manager, Lab Quality Engineer, Analytical Chemists, and in-process lab leads, to build a high-performing team.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation

Lead strategic initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency, analytical capabilities, and data integrity across all laboratory and in-process testing activities.

Evaluate and implement new technologies, systems, and methodologies to maintain industry-leading laboratory and analytical services.

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline required; advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) preferred.

Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in laboratory management, analytical services, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, resource management, and cross-functional leadership.

High-level understanding of laboratory operations, analytical chemistry, in-process testing, compliance, and analytical technologies.

Familiarity with AS9100 and ISO17025 compliant organizations preferred.

The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $108,000 - 135,000 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
