We are looking for :

 

A Sr. Maintenance Planner to be responsible for creating high quality maintenance job plans for field maintenance personnel to use. Work order planning efforts will be performed in a detailed and quality manner and will include: safety risks, Critical Life Safety permit requirements, parts and materials to complete the job, special tools needed, estimated time and manpower, downtime needed, and any other coordination needs. This position will regularly coordinate with Craft personnel, Supervisors, Engineers, Management, vendors, and contractors.

  • Complies with all site and safety rules, permits, policies, and procedures and helps drive safety excellence within the workplace including incorporating safety requirements of job plans

  • Identifies and reports hazards to supervision in a timely manner

  • Use SAP Plant Maintenance and other electronic documentation systems

  • Responsible for the initial screening of incoming work orders, identification of scope, and determining the required level of planning

  • Conduct field walkdowns of every job to identify and document job requirements in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.

  • Identifies skill sets and hours required to complete the job

  • Ensures that all aspects of existing codes, policies, and procedures are incorporated into the job plan

  • Procures materials, quotes, bids, and specialized tools required

  • Gathers, reads, and interprets a variety of engineering drawings including P&IDs, schematics, process flow diagrams, equipment drawings, Loop sheets, single lines, and OEM Manuals

  • Takes field measurements and develops sketches as required

  • Writes clear and concise scope of work

  • Compile all information into a ready to execute job package

  • Provide direction and support to maintenance workers as needed on planned work packages

  • Collect and document work history to improve planning/scheduling

  • Coordinates and works with the instrumentation calibration department to keep equipment calibrations up to date.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision

You will bring:

 

  • High School Diploma is required
  • 10+ years related experience in industrial 24-7 environment
  • Possesses a detailed knowledge of plant machinery repair, equipment, piping, codes and regulations

  • SAP expert

  • Extensive knowledge of Industrial Maintenance and Electrical work

  • Experience working in a 24-7 Union Industrial plant

  • Experience working in a PSM facility

  • Knowledge of Industrial Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Policies and Procedures

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

  • Uses shop mathematics, standard handbook formulas, and other reference materials for computing dimensions to plan and lay out work.

  • Works independently as well as a team member, both with minimal supervision.

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $94,000 - 118,000 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
