We are looking for:
The QA/QC Supervisor and Technical Specialist directs laboratory operations across all quality assurance areas, providing effective support to internal and external customers. This role is responsible for driving QA/QC continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence while ensuring compliance with quality systems, regulatory requirements, Life Saving Rules, OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM), Ohio EPA requirements, ISO standards, and plant policies.

Manage and direct laboratory technicians while ensuring the safe operation of all laboratory personnel, equipment, and processes.

Adhere to and promote all plant HSE standards, policies, and procedures while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Provide technical support for laboratory testing techniques, equipment upgrades, process improvements, and special projects.

Partner with R&D, Sales, Product Management, and other functions to ensure internal and external customer needs are met.

Provide technical support to plant operations and identify opportunities for process and quality improvements.

Develop and maintain procedures to ensure Quality System requirements are met and support plant audits and accreditations.

Motivate, coach, train, and develop team members to build and sustain a high-performance work team.

Manage laboratory activities and resources to maintain costs at or below budget.
-
Maintain effective labor relationships within a union environment.
-
Develop and maintain job training tools and documentation, including Job Analyses, equipment labeling and signage, Training Plans, Skill Demonstrations, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Ensure laboratory technicians and day technicians maintain the training necessary to safely perform their jobs and provide refresher training as required.

Develop working knowledge of the Learning Management System (LMS) and support effective training administration.

Revise SOPs and other job documentation to reflect changes resulting from the Management of Change (MOC) process.

Utilize SAP to enter maintenance of work notifications and orders and follow up on work-order completion.

Conduct core safety meetings with shift personnel.

Understand and promote the use of statistical analysis for laboratory and process results.

Ensure materials are evaluated and released in accordance with applicable specifications.

Lead and support investigations using root-cause analysis, corrective action, and preventive action techniques.

You will bring:

Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field.
-
3–5 years of relevant experience.

Experience developing and using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Knowledge of plant processes and equipment.
-
Knowledge of laboratory equipment and testing practices.
-
Strong customer service orientation.

Team leadership and people development skills.

Mechanical and technical aptitude.

- Competitive salary and benefits package
- The U.S. annual base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this new hire is: $98,720 to $123,400. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate, such as skills, experience, qualifications, etc. and can ultimately be more or less than the posted salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
