We are looking for:

The Safety Specialist serves as the subject matter expert on OSHA regulations and Corporate Health & Safety (H&S) Guidelines for the Marietta site. This role is responsible for promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement in health and safety practices across all site operations.

 

We count on you for:

  • Serve as the site expert on OSHA regulations and Corporate H&S Guidelines.
  • Advise site leadership on health and safety risks, compliance, and mitigation strategies.
  • Lead safety culture initiatives and demonstrate visible safety leadership.
  • Conduct safety inspections, audits, and field observations to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain OSHA records (300, 300A, 301) and report safety data.
  • Oversee contractor safety vetting and equipment monitoring.
  • Manage workplace injuries and coordinate with medical providers for employee health programs.
  • Lead incident investigations and implement preventive measures.
  • Act as Radiation Safety Officer, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Coordinate emergency response training and preparedness.
  • Support HSE management systems and new hire safety training.
  • Engage with internal and external safety networks and councils.

You will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 10 years of experience in industrial safety, emergency response, and accident prevention
  • Experience with OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP).preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with audits, investigations, and developing safety procedures
  • Analytical, adaptable, and proactive approach to safety
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills

 

You will get:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $94,960 to $130,000 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
  • 16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations
