Quality Engineers (QE) are responsible for ensuring products / parameters are in control within established processes and facilitates improvement within such processes. Provide customers with technical support on testing issues and continuous improvements of quality systems.
Responsibilities:
- Works with the work cell to monitor, reinforce and communicate all customer issues, quality escapes and other systemic quality issues.
- Documents and tracks non-conformances for incoming materials, internal departments, and customers.
- Analyzes quality issues and develops corrective actions including customer notifications, rework, waste and other cost of quality contributors.
- Owner of quality documentations pertaining to the work cell such as bond preps, specifications, inspection documents, testing requirements, sampling plans, LIMs configuration and methods.
- Monitors product quality performance through SPC and CPK analysis of critical raw material and product parameters.
- Works with customers and vendors on product quality issues.
- Informs and coaches production operators to undertake the quality standards in accordance with customer and or quality system requirements.
- Accountable for work cell internal audits to ensure compliance to quality standards and drive continuous improvements.
- Supports the Quality team in preparation and conduct of external audits.
- Maintains quality process stability to ensure favorable customer ratings, confidence and future sales.
- Leads and facilitates continuous improvement activities through use of lean tools and statistical analysis.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering or related field.
- 2 plus years of industrial experience preferred.
- Must be fit to use a full face respirator ( Clean shaven requirement, no beard, mustache ok)
- Must be a U.S Citizen or Green Card holder
Desired Skills:
- Excellent organizational skills, effective communication and ability to prioritize competing needs.
- Understanding of quality systems ISO 9001/AS 9100 requirements and NADCAP.
You will get:
- Competitive salary and benefits package. The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $80,800 to $101,000 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
