We are looking for: 

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health and Safety Manager to join our HSE team. This role is vital in ensuring the health and safety of our employees while maintaining compliance with occupational, process safety, and industrial hygiene standards. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a proactive approach to risk mitigation and culture-building initiatives.

General Health & Safety Leadership

  • Stay current with evolving safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices.

  • Advise site leadership on health and safety risks, mitigation strategies, and compliance.

  • Champion safety culture initiatives across all departments.

  • Develop and implement risk-reduction programs across areas of responsibility.

  • Report on safety performance metrics and lead data-driven improvement efforts.

  • Partner with engineering, maintenance, and operations to embed safety into daily activities and new designs.

Industrial Hygiene

  • Monitor environmental conditions (air quality, noise, etc.) to ensure compliance with OELs and relevant standards.

  • Lead exposure assessments and sampling for employees handling hazardous materials.

  • Lead and maintain a health surveillance program including medical monitoring for at-risk personnel.

Occupational Safety

  • Conduct safety inspections and audits to ensure adherence to OSHA and internal policies.

  • Maintain safety documentation, including SDSs, safe work practices, and emergency plans.

  • Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures.

  • Promote proper use and maintenance of PPE throughout the workforce.

  • Lead emergency preparedness efforts, including drills and response exercises.

Process Safety

  • Perform hazard analyses and risk assessments (e.g., HAZOPs, FMEAs, consequence modeling).

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, and other applicable regulations.

  • Manage internal and external process safety audits.

  • Lead root cause investigations and ensure follow-up on corrective actions.

  • Coordinate and deliver process safety training to all levels of the organization.

You will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial safety, process safety, or industrial hygiene.

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulatory standards.

  • Experience with safety management systems, exposure assessment tools, and risk analysis methodologies.

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.

  • Relevant certifications (CIH, CSP, etc.) are a plus

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $108,000 to $135,000 per year . Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.

  • 16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations.
