We are looking for:
The Quality Specialist will be an integral part of our internal quality control team to ensure products meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role supports quality, operations, and engineering teams by performing inspections and testing during all stages of production with a focus often on advanced analytical work, special projects, and technical support.
We count on you for:

Conduct routine and nonroutine quality inspections at various stages of production, including raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products

Analyze effluent plant process, environmental, and project samples as needed.

Prepare and analyze calibration standards, ensuring accuracy and precision in all results

Record, interpret, and validate test data using statistical quality control procedures; prepare graphs and charts as needed

Input analytical results into LIMS and SAP and maintain accurate, organized, and retrievable documentation for auditing and compliance.

Lead or assist in lab equipment commissioning, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Maintain adequate inventories of chemicals, materials, and supplies; ensure proper care and maintenance of lab equipment.

Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend/implement corrective actions.and preventive actions to address quality issues

Maintain current training in ISO 9001, safety, environmental, and job-specific requirements; support internal and external audits.

Adhere to safe work practices, perform routine safety inspections, attend safety meetings

Performs other duties as assigned
You will bring:
-
Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Chemistry, Engineering, Science, or a related field; five or more years’ experience in a chemistry or analytical laboratory.

Proficient with statistical analysis software, LIMS, SAP

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and math skills

Experience with GC, thermal analysis (DSC, TGA), and other analytical techniques are highly desirable

Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality standards.

Strong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportions. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.

Capable of maintaining autonomy to efficiently manage multiple tasks and prioritize daily work functions.

Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with production, engineering, and supply chain to resolve quality issues.

Functions as a backup for lab personnel; schedule flexibility including availability to work some weekends is required

You will get:

Competitive salary. The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $39.00 per hour. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
