We are looking for:

A Maintenance Engineering Intern to assist engineers and managers with maintenance & reliability tasks and projects at the Piedmont, SC site near Greenville, SC and help us achieve our site goals.

 

We count on you for:

  • Reliable on site contribution, ability to interact with employees to gain the necessary information to be successful.

  • Support one or more of the following work streams: production engineers, quality assurance lab, maintenance, and Health, Safety, Environment.

  • Production engineering: typical tasks revolve around day to day tracking the health and performance of the unit, raw material planning, and small projects to improve efficiency and safety. A summer intern may engage in digitizing work processes, P&ID confirmations and updates, and control system algorithm planning, or other tasks to support the engineers.

  • Quality Assurance: typical tasks might include creation of dashboards for easing management of lab processes and materials.

  • Maintenance: Typical tasks may include updating bills of material and instrument records and setting up digital tools or improving work order processes.

  • HSE: Typical tasks may include updating Safety Data Sheets in the current database.

  • Midway through and at the end of the internship, the intern will report on their progress and activities over the term.

 

You can count on us for:

Engineering summer intern will receive support and guidance from site engineers and managers and gain experience in the production environment, supporting one or more of the following work streams: production engineers, quality assurance lab, maintenance, and Health, Safety, Environment.

 

 

You will bring:

Working toward a STEM degree, with preference to engineers, including chemical, mechanical, electrical, systems, and computer science.

 

 

You will get:

  • Competitive salary; hourly rate of $22-$24/hourly, depending on experience and education. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.

  • Housing support of up to $2,500.00 available for those relocating for this opportunity for students that are at least 50 miles away from the site

 

Additional information:

  • The internship will run from late May to early August, pending school calendars and availability.

  • 40 hours a week
