QA Laboratory Technician

We are looking for:

Quality Assurance for our Spartanburg, SC facility.

 

We count on you for:

  • Analysis of in process, finished/packaged products and incoming raw material samples to assure conformance to specification and investigation into non-conforming products.

  • Calculations for additions/corrections for in-process & final production. 

  • Support of plant production when necessary

  • Sample retention & shipping

  • Computer data entry

  • Daily instrument calibration

  • Reagent preparation and standardization

  • Providing assistance to the QA Group Leader and QA Specialist for method development validation and verification

  • Analysis of in-process, finished/packaged goods and incoming raw materials and associated documentation and data entry

  • Conformance to ISO, GMP and QHSSE  procedures and guidelines

  • Investigation of non-conforming products and corrective/preventive actions and measures

  • Sample retention of final product

  • Responsible to keep remote lab running

  • Reagent reparation and standardization

  • Check standards weekly and record in LIMS

  • Order supplies for lab

  • Support QA Group Leader and QA Specialist in method development validation and verification

 

QHSSE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow laboratory safety rules and maintain lab housekeeping standards

  • Conform to site PPE requirements

  • Conform to site specific RM and environmental procedures and regulations including Mandatory Training

  • Support site specific behavioral safety process by conducting observations and participating in other SOAP sponsored activities

  • Report all safety incidents and near misses, and participate in investigations as needed.

  • Properly label and store raw material and product retain samples.

  • Has responsibility to maintain a quality management system that meets the requirements of the ISO 9001 2015 standard.

  • Focus efforts in four areas which include Safety, Customer Focus, Excellence and Continuous Improvement, and Sustainability.

  • Represent Solvay, USA through daily actions that reinforce the corporate values; demonstrating personal commitment to a safe, healthy and environmentally sound workplace for employees.

You will bring:

  • Completely Qualified or grandfathered Lab Technician

  • Wet and instrumental analytical techniques

  • Laboratory and general safety

  • Computer data entry skills including

  • Excel, Word, RCS, BIP, LIMS & Crystal Enterprise

  • Current on DOT / Haz-Mat requirements

  • IATA

  • IMDG

  • Knowledge of the 49 CFR Hazardous Material Regulations manual.

  • Competitive salary and benefits package

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $26.79  to $30.80  per hour . Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.

  • 16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations.
