We are seeking:
- A Microbiologist with expertise in biocides and proven experience in the oil and gas (O&G) industry. In this role, you will contribute to and participate in O&G research and innovation development projects focused on oilfield chemical applications, particularly microbial control and biocide solutions.
- You will interact with customers to build partnerships for new product and technology development, and support Syensqo’s O&G technical and business teams in executing technology development projects.

Design, conduct, and interpret laboratory tests for developing and improving biocide products and technologies for oilfield use.

Develop and maintain advanced laboratory testing methods and equipment specific to microbiological and biocide performance in oilfield environments.

Provide technical support on existing biocide products and technologies, including troubleshooting and optimization.

Deliver technical support and expertise to customers, addressing microbial challenges in oil and gas operations.

Preference for candidates with a Ph.D. or M.S. in microbiology, biochemistry, chemical engineering, petroleum engineering, or related disciplines, with relevant oil and gas industry experience.

Experience with biocide selection, application, and efficacy testing in oilfield environments is highly desirable.

The base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position will be $95,000 to $135,000 a year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonuses and/or other incentives.
