We are looking for:

The Maintenance Materials Lead (SAP/MRP) plays a critical role in ensuring the effective management and availability of maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) inventory to support uninterrupted plant operations. The role leads the site-level strategy, execution, and go-live readiness for the SAP S/4HANA conversion of maintenance activities, ensuring accurate migration of legacy data and a smooth transition of business processes. This position works closely with stockroom attendants, plant leadership, procurement teams, and suppliers to maintain accurate inventory control, reliable parts availability, and streamlined operations across the Willow Island site.

 

We count on you for:

  • Manage, guide, and coach storeroom attendants in daily activities including issuing goods, receiving materials, stocking inventory, and maintaining cycle count processes.
  • Collaborate with storeroom attendants and procurement teams to correct and maintain SAP material master data, ensuring accurate reporting and proper MRP functionality across all locations.
  • Monitor inventory usage and stock order reports within MRP systems to maintain proper min/max levels, adjust inventory thresholds, and obtain approvals for new SAP stock items.
  • Identify obsolete inventory, manage segregation processes, and maintain accurate records to support efficient stock management.
  • Standardize storeroom parts, implement solutions, and ensure critical components are available to maintain operational continuity.
  • Lead storeroom design, implementation, and optimization efforts, including upgrades to systems and other technologies that improve inventory control and accessibility.
  • Develop and maintain storeroom security processes including system access controls, monitoring procedures, and scanning and barcoding initiatives that enhance inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with buyers and suppliers to resolve quality issues, including coordinating corrective actions for engineered machine components when necessary.
  • Establish and maintain standardized processes and procedures for inventory management, including FIFO stock placement guidelines and comprehensive storeroom procedure documentation.
  • Oversee inventory cycle count programs and system monitoring to ensure compliance with policies, investigate discrepancies, and obtain required approvals before making SAP inventory adjustments.

 

SAP Expertise and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate workshops and training, manage stakeholder relationships, and harmonize business practices.
  • Define and enforce data mapping, transformation logic, and reconciliation procedures to ensure accuracy, completeness, and audit-ready data.
  • Lead Fit-to-Standard workshops, adapting local business processes to S/4HANA standard functionalities.  
  • Identify and manage data-related risks, dependencies, and cutover deliverables to meet project timelines. Provide immediate post-go-live support to address system issues.
  • Become the departmental SAP lead for all maintenance SAP activities

You will bring:

  • 3–5 years of experience in inventory management, storeroom operations, or supply chain roles, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Post-secondary degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Technical Skills – strong proficiency with a wide range of SAP functions and architecture understanding, MRP systems, inventory control processes, and Microsoft Excel
  • Soft Skills – strong communication, leadership, interpersonal collaboration, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities

  • The U.S. annual base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this new hire is: $88,480 to $110,600.  Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate, such as skills, experience, qualifications, etc. and can ultimately be more or less than the posted salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
