We are looking for:

 

The Maintenance Planner ensures maintenance technicians have the tools, parts, and information needed to complete work orders. The planner supports the plant maintenance team by developing job plans and securing required parts and services before work orders are scheduled and assigned.

 

 

We count on you for:

  • Assigns codes to work orders.
  • Make field inspections and determine appropriate job work scopes.
  • Develop work plans for maintenance jobs with necessary information to allow efficient scheduling, assignment, and execution of maintenance work.
  • Create, use, and maintain plant history and other technical files to include information in current job plans to anticipate and avoid job delays.
  • Perform procurement duties as required.
  • Stage materials and special tools as required.
  • Evaluate job feedback to improve future work.
  • Keep familiar with current safety rules and regulations.
  • Utilize SAP and other other computer applications to support the maintenance function.
  • Provide technical assistance as required for maintenance personnel.
  • Prepare reports as required.
  • Perform related duties as required.

You will bring:

  • 5 years of maintenance planning experience in the manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Multiple years of SAP maintenance experience (preferred), including planning and scheduling; end-to-end work order management (cradle to grave); reporting; and in-depth knowledge of the program hierarchy.
  • Strong technical aptitude: solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and related systems.
  • Clear communication: ability to work effectively with technicians, supervisors, and operations and engineering teams.
  • Thorough understanding of large industrial equipment (e.g., fans, pumps, and boilers) and associated components (e.g., bearings and actuators).
  • Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and equipment used to maintain a manufacturing facility.
  • Knowledge of safety hazards and appropriate precautions applicable to work assignments.
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge to identify equipment issues and appropriate solutions while quickly developing job plans.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations involved in estimating and purchasing.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal form.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with operators, vendors, contractors, peers, and management.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply information from files, drawings, catalogs, reports, and manuals.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

  • The U.S. annual base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this new hire is: $88,480 to $110,600.  Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate, such as skills, experience, qualifications, etc. and can ultimately be more or less than the posted salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
  • 16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to maneuver continuously throughout the plant to observe equipment. 
  • Ability to walk, sit, stoop, squat, climb ladders and stairs, and lift and carry objects up to 40 pounds in weight. 
  • Ability to crawl on hands and knees to access and observe equipment.
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the production facility.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
