We are looking for: 


The Maintenance Technician (3rd shift 11pm-7am). reports to the Maintenance Supervisor, and is responsible for performing installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of wiring, controls, and similar equipment and systems, including alterations or extensions. From a mechanical standpoint, this individual must be capable of performing a range of maintenance functions throughout the facility as they relate to the repair, and preventative and predictive maintenance of pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, plumbing, and general manufacturing and like machinery.

This position requires the individual to be a decision-maker and be capable of completing job assignments either independently or with a team, relative to electrical and mechanical applications.

This position is a working position and will require the individual to complete job assignments relative to mechanical maintenance, electrical and electronic installation and maintenance.

We count on you to: 

  • Assist in installation and/or oversight of installation of electrical wiring, apparatus, and equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical and/or mechanical faults in order to perform repair procedures involving electrical and mechanical equipment, and systems, by working closely with staff and maintenance personnel assigned to assist with the projects
  • Maintaining and repairing electrical wiring, apparatus, and equipment
  • Maintaining and repairing machinery and mechanical systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems and components and provide feedback to leadership concerning the current operational status of equipment and potential issues which could arise in the future based on PM/PdM findings
  • Wire/unwire motors and other electrical loads, as needed, for troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment and other machinery.
  • Utilize computer and mobile devices to respond to and document repairs, preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance tasks, accounting for time spent and materials used in the performance of these tasks
  • Provide direction and supervision of contracted electrical services, in some circumstances
  • Qualify and act as an authorized signer for specific permitting needs to ensure safety of plant and contractor personnel in the performance of maintenance and maintenance-related tasks
  • Complete work orders in a timely and safe manner, providing clear and concise feedback to planning and leadership, as appropriate
  • Perform all other assignments, as directed by leadership



You will bring:
 

  • Minimum 2 Yr  Technical degree or equivalent with completion of an approved Apprentice Electrician program and 5 years work experience in mechanical or electrical areas.
  • Strong safety mindset
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Able to anticipate potential problems, communicate, and be ready to help correct
  • Maintain job flexibility and able to switch priorities as needed to support plant operations
  • Self-motivated, able to follow-direction and meet deadlines 
  • Familiarity with control systems, ladder logic, and drive systems
  • Ability to read blueprints, P&ID’s, and other drawings
  • Creative and innovative approach to addressing issues
  • Strong problem solving abilities for mechanical and electrical applications.

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $29.76 per hour.  Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate, we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
