We are looking for: 

a skilled 5-Axis CNC Operator to join our advanced manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for trimming and machining composite materials, epoxy tooling boards, and various alloys using 5-axis CNC machinery. Proficiency in CAD/CAM systems is essential for programming, setup, and operation to ensure high-quality, precise components.

We count on you for:

  • Operate 5-Axis CNC Machines: Set up, program, and operate 5-axis CNC machines for trimming and machining composites, epoxy tooling boards, and alloys.

  • CAD/CAM Programming: Utilize CAD/CAM software to create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for efficient and accurate production.

  • Material Handling: Safely handle and process composite materials, epoxy tooling boards, and metal alloys according to specifications.

  • Quality Assurance: Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with technical drawings and quality standards.

  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to minimize downtime.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production, machine settings, and maintenance activities.

  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, safety, and product quality.

 

You will bring:

  • Proven experience operating 5-axis CNC machines, preferably in a composites or advanced materials environment.

  • Strong competency with CAD/CAM systems (e.g., Mastercam, Siemens NX, or similar).

  • Experience machining composites, epoxy tooling boards, and alloys.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Prior experience using Fanuc operating systems would be an advantage but not essential.

 

  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 25kg.

  • Standing for extended periods and operating machinery in a manufacturing environment.

The UK annual base salary reasonably expected to be paid for this new hire is KGBP 31 to KGBP 36.  Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, qualification and internal equity and can ultimately be more or less than the posted salary range.
