We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor

 

 Position Purpose and Objective 

  • Within own department, to manage a team of process and/or technical domain engineers, to ensure and provide up-to- standard technical services to the site  and the production area, and to conceive and design industrial projects, against the lowest possible cost and in a sustainable way,
  • Scientific vision and strategies regarding the advisable future direction in its own site, Process design and project deliverables Production processes and equipment troubleshooting analysis Production process and equipment improvements. Effectiveness and efficiency of their own team.
  • Define, in collaboration with the business, R&I & Production, and propose to top management, and industrial vision and technology strategy for their own domain.
  • Study, analyse and define the key technologies to invest in (development or acquisition).
  • Ensure the documentation of processes is accurate and up to date.
  • Propose and deploy best practices within your own team to get best results.
  • To support Quality in investigations to root cause for internal and external issues.

  • Reduction in OEE measured downtime

  • Initiating Best Practice across production processes
  • Setting the process standard for manufacturing to follow.

 

 

 

ORGANIZATION

DIRECT:Manufacturing Engineer  personnel

INDIRECT: all departments

 

 

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Authority to stop manufacturing process if required
  • safety ; target of zero accidents
  • Responsible for the improvement of processes on site
  • Responsible for standardisation of process within manufacturing.
  • Expected improvement in productivity to achieve set targets
  • Expected reduction in downtime reduction in OEE downtime
  • Expected reduction in quality issues - measured by CC
  • Expected high level maintained for safety.
  • Expected waste output to not exceed set targets
  • Expected to work with quality to achieve below customer complaints target
  • Expected to work on both short and long term projects

 

 

JOB PROFILE

Education: 

  • (Desirable) would be Degree level qualified,
  • Background in composites or chemistry
  • Lean training
  • Experience of running Projects
  • Desirable - previous leadership role
  • 6 sigma (desirable)

  • Experience of Leadership
  • Experience of leading continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience of driving Improvements
  • Hands on approach
  • Can influence across all levels
  • Good stakeholder management.

The UK annual base salary reasonably expected to be paid for this new hire is between GBP 50000 to GBP 63000.  Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, qualification and internal equity and can ultimately be more or less than the posted salary range.
