Heanor Logistics-Warehouse Operative
We currently have a vacancy for 1 Warehouse operatives, working in Heanor Main warehouse and Site 7.
Job Description
- Working a weekly rotating days and afternoon shift pattern, 05:50 – 14:15, 13:30 – 22:00. Overtime will be expected on occasions to meet the demands of the business.
Daily duties supporting team leader including:
- Various administrative tasks
- Receiving raw materials
- Locating stock
- Preparing and shipping customer orders
- Issuing goods to production
- Daily inventory checks
- Loading and unloading vehicles using FLT
- Dealing with forwarders coordinating transport
- Allocation of stock for customer orders supporting 3PL function
- General housekeeping
- 5S and continuous improvement activities
Profile
The ideal candidates will:
- Show strong commitment to all aspects of safety due to experience in similar environments.
- Experience in dealing with shipping hazardous goods and preparing regulated documents.
- Experience with receiving goods, checking goods for defects.
- Understanding of inventory processes, cycle counts, scrap and waste management
- Be experienced in using SAP logistics execution WM and IM levels, Word and Excel applications.
- FLT experience including Counterbalance and Aislemaster Combi-Lift
- Be willing to learn new skills.
- High attention to detail
- Full driving license with willingness to drive company vehicle in line with stock transportation preferred
