We are looking for:

 

An experienced Contractor Coordinator (gn) to join the Wrexham engineering team. The Contractor Coordinator’s primary role will be responsible for the control and coordination of all contracted works at the Wrexham site, ensuring tasks are compliant with safety or contractual standards. 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct contractor inductions and audits, and enforce safety standards
  • Coordinate and oversee multiple concurrent contractor projects
  • Serve as the main point of contact for internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Review and approve risk assessments, method statements, and work permits
  • Ensure all personnel are familiar with and have reviewed relevant safety documentation
  • Monitor compliance with safety measures and required isolations during work

 

You will bring:

  • Engineering degree and/or qualification as a permit issuer; IOSH certification required, NEBOSH certification is an advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience preferred in production environment

  • Experience of an electronic work permit system is preferred and other EHS systems used to track incidents and risk assessments.

  • Ideally the candidate should have experience of ISO14001 & ISO45001 environments and good general IT skills

  • Excellent written & verbal communicator.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
